Marking an Event as Completed

When I marked a recurring event as completed, this event is retained and another one time event with the same description is created and is striked thru.

Is this how it should really be?

I was thinking that the event, whether recurring or one-time, should be retained and be the one that is striked thru.

Behaviour for one-time event is just okay. Only recurring events are the ones affected.
